View your domains and SSL status
This guide shows you where to confirm that your MapleGather site address is secure and where to find your SSL certificate details.
Who can do this: Admins (Volunteer-Run Nonprofit Admin and Professional Association Staff Admin). The Website area is not visible to members.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- You need an admin account. If you’ve just set up your organization, wait up to 30 minutes for the security certificate to finish.
- Sign in to the admin area.
- In the left sidebar, select Website.
- The Domains & SSL page opens. Look at the Your site address card.
- Check the status badge next to your site address:
- A green Secured · auto-renews badge means HTTPS is on and the certificate renews itself.
- A Securing your site notice means the certificate is being set up. This is normal in the first 30 minutes after you created your organization.
- Under the badge you’ll see Valid through {date} and Last renewed {date}.
- Below the site address card is a Custom domain row. Custom domains arrive with the website builder — no action is needed here.
Verify
Section titled “Verify”You’ll know everything is working when the Secured · auto-renews badge is green and the Valid through date is in the future. Your site is already protected — there’s nothing to set up or renew manually.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”- You see “Securing your site — usually within 30 minutes” — the certificate is still being issued. Wait and refresh the page. If it’s been more than 30 minutes, check your admin-notifications mailbox. See Site shows “Not Secure” in the first 30 minutes for details.
- The card shows a certificate renewal error — MapleGather is already working on it and has sent a notice to your admin-notifications mailbox. No action is needed from you. See SSL certificate renewal failure notice for details.
