Search the in-app knowledge base

This guide shows you how to find help articles without leaving MapleGather — using the side panel search, context-sensitive help icons, or the public help site.

Who can do this: All signed-in users. The public help site is also accessible without signing in.

  1. Click the Help icon in the top-right corner of any page. A side panel opens with the search bar already focused.
  2. Type your question or keywords. Results appear as you type — usually within half a second. Each result shows a title, a short excerpt, and an area tag.
  3. Click a result to open the full article inside the side panel.
  1. Find the ? icon next to the feature you need help with.
  2. Click the ? icon. The side panel opens directly to the help article for that feature, skipping the search step.

By default, search returns articles for the area you are working in — admin articles when you are in the admin area, member articles when you are in the member portal. A context chip at the top of the search panel shows which area is active.

  1. To search across all areas, click the x on the context chip to dismiss it.
  2. Search results now include articles from all areas.
  1. Open help.[yourdomain].com in any browser. No sign-in is required.
  2. Search for articles the same way you would in the app.
  3. If an article is only available to signed-in users, you will see a Sign in to view notice instead of the article body.

You’ll know it worked when the full article text appears in the side panel.

  • No results for your search — Try shorter or different keywords. If the article you need doesn’t exist yet, click the Submit feedback link at the bottom of the empty-results screen. This routes your request to the support team.
  • “Ask AI?” prompt appears — If no articles match, MapleGather offers an AI-assisted answer. Click Ask AI to continue, or click Contact support to reach the support team directly.
