Register for a free event
This guide shows you how to register for a free event. Free events confirm your spot immediately with no payment step.
Who can do this: Active members.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Free events do not require a card or payment. If you see a price on a ticket, see Register for a paid event instead.
- If the event has a required waiver, you must accept it before you can confirm.
- Go to the event page.
- In the Register section, select your ticket type if more than one is available.
- Select Register. A confirmation dialog appears with the event details.
- If the event has any required questions, complete them in the dialog.
- If there is a waiver, check the box to accept it.
- Select Confirm.
Verify
Section titled “Verify”The dialog closes and the event page shows a You’re registered section with a link to your ticket and a link to download an .ics calendar file.
You also receive a confirmation email.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”- “This event is full” — no spots remain. Contact the organizer if you would like to be added manually.
- “Registration not open” — registration is currently closed for this event. Contact the organizer for help.
- The Confirm button is not available — there may be a required waiver you have not yet accepted, or a required question that is empty. Review the form in the dialog and complete any required fields.
