Admin account and invitation statuses reference

This page lists every status an admin account or admin invitation can hold in MapleGather, the transitions between them, and the time limits that apply.

Admin account statuses

Status	Meaning	Who can enter this status
`invited`	Invitation issued; the invitee has not yet accepted. A magic-link token (purpose: `admin_invite`) is live.	System — on invitation send.
`active`	Invitation accepted; credentials set; the admin can log in.	System — on invitation acceptance.
`suspended`	Access temporarily blocked; the admin cannot sign in but their history and roles are preserved.	Admin with `admin_users:revoke`.
`revoked`	Access revoked by another admin. Active sessions are terminated within 60 seconds (p95). A 48-hour undo window is open.	Admin with `admin_users:revoke`.
`handover_complete`	Account handover completed; the predecessor record is archived; the successor holds all transferred roles. Terminal — cannot be reversed.	System — when an `AdminHandover` job reaches `complete`.

Allowed transitions

`invited`	`active`	Invitee accepts the invitation before it expires.
`active`	`suspended`	Another admin suspends access.
`suspended`	`active`	Suspension lifted by an admin.
`active`	`revoked`	Another admin revokes access.
`revoked`	`active`	The revoking admin undoes within the 48-hour undo window.
`active`	`handover_complete`	Handover job completes successfully.

handover_complete is terminal; no transitions out.

Admin invitation statuses

Status	Meaning
`pending`	Token is live; the invitee has not yet accepted.
`accepted`	Token consumed; the admin account is now `active`.
`expired`	30-day TTL elapsed without acceptance. The invitation is no longer usable.
`revoked`	An admin cancelled the invitation before the invitee accepted.

Invitation time limits

Limit	Value
Invitation TTL	30 days from send. After expiry the invitation cannot be accepted; resend to issue a new token.
Resend cooldown	7 days after last send. You cannot resend until the cooldown elapses.
