Your signup link expired or was already used
You selected the “set your password” link from your signup email and saw “This link has expired” instead of the set-up page.
What’s happening
Section titled “What’s happening”The set-up link in your signup email works once, is good for 7 days, and belongs to the specific workspace signup it was sent for. If you see this page, one of these happened:
- More than 7 days passed before you selected the link.
- The link was already used once to set your password, so it can’t be used again.
This is a security feature, not an error. Your details are safe, and nothing was charged.
How to fix it
Section titled “How to fix it”- Select Start signup again on the expired-link page. This takes you back to the signup form.
- Fill in your organization and your details again, then select Start free trial.
- Open the new email from MapleGather and select the fresh set-up link within 7 days.
Note: A workspace address from an unfinished signup frees up automatically about a week later. If yours still shows as taken when you sign up again, pick a different address or use the suggested one.
If you already set your password on an earlier visit, you don’t need this link at all — just sign in with the password you chose.
If that didn’t work
Section titled “If that didn’t work”- If more than one signup email is in your inbox, use the most recent link for the workspace you’re setting up — each link belongs to the signup it was sent for.
- If you’re not sure whether your workspace was ever created, try to sign in. If your account isn’t recognized, start signup again.
- If you’re still stuck, contact MapleGather support and include the email address you signed up with.
