Site shows \"Not Secure\" in the first 30 minutes
You’ve just set up your organization and the Domains & SSL page shows “Securing your site — usually within 30 minutes” instead of a green badge. Your browser may also show a “Not Secure” warning when you visit your site address.
What’s happening
Section titled “What’s happening”This is expected. When you create a new organization, MapleGather requests a security certificate for your site address. It’s usually ready within 30 minutes. Until then, HTTPS is not active and browsers show a “Not Secure” warning.
No action is needed — the certificate is being set up in the background.
How to fix it
Section titled “How to fix it”- Wait up to 30 minutes after your organization was created.
- Refresh the Domains & SSL page (
Website › Domains & SSL). - When the certificate is ready, the status changes to a green Secured · auto-renews badge. You don’t need to do anything else.
If that didn’t work
Section titled “If that didn’t work”If the Domains & SSL page still shows the “Securing your site” notice after 30 minutes:
- Check your admin-notifications mailbox — MapleGather sends a notice there if provisioning takes longer than expected.
- If you’ve waited more than an hour and the page still shows the provisioning state, contact MapleGather support. Include your organization name and the time your organization was created so the team can investigate.
