Directory privacy audit log reference
This page describes the columns in the directory privacy audit log and explains how to read and export it.
The audit log is available on any member’s detail page under the Privacy audit tab. It records every directory privacy change for that member, whether the member made the change themselves or an admin applied it. To open the audit log, see Audit member directory privacy changes.
Audit log columns
Section titled “Audit log columns”| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Timestamp | The date and time the change was recorded |
| Change description | A plain-language description of what changed, such as “Opted out of directory listing” or “Set Phone to Members only” |
| Policy version | The privacy policy version in effect when the change occurred |

Admin-initiated change rows
Section titled “Admin-initiated change rows”When an admin made the change on the member’s behalf — for example, after a retroactive bulk apply from the Privacy defaults screen — the row also shows:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Admin ID | The ID of the admin who made the change (actorAdminUserId) |
| Reason | The reason code label the admin selected, such as “Bulk default apply” or “Org policy change” |
For the full list of reason codes, see Privacy override reason codes reference.
Exporting the audit log

Rollback
Section titled “Rollback”If a bulk admin-initiated change needs to be reversed, a rollback is available for 48 hours after the batch runs. Contact your organization’s primary admin to initiate a rollback.
