Register someone for an event on their behalf
This guide shows you how to register a member for an event as an admin, including how to issue a complimentary (comp) registration when full capacity has been reached.
Who can do this: Organization admins with event management permissions.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Comped registrations do not go through payment. Use this for guests, speakers, or members you want to admit at no charge.
- If the event is at capacity, you can override the capacity limit for a comp registration. The override is logged in the audit trail.
- Comp registrations cannot be undone directly — you can cancel the registration instead if needed. You have 48 hours after comp to cancel.
Register a member on behalf
Section titled “Register a member on behalf”- Open the event and select the Attendees tab.
- Select Register on behalf.
- Search for the member by name or email and select them.
