DPA signature shows 'Signature not recorded' error

After clicking to sign the Data Processing Agreement, a toast message appears saying “Signature not recorded — your form is preserved, please try again.”

A network timeout or server error interrupted the signature request before MapleGather could confirm the submission. Your signature was not recorded — the DPA status still shows as unsigned. This is a cautious behavior: MapleGather only marks the DPA as signed when it can fully confirm the submission, so you’re never left with an ambiguous or partial state.

The good news: your form data is preserved. Your name, title, and the acknowledgment checkbox are all still filled in — you don’t need to re-enter anything.

  1. Check that your internet connection is active.
  2. Click Retry on the DPA signing form. The form submits again with all your details already filled in.
  3. Wait for the confirmation. The Compliance tab shows “Signed” status only after a successful submission — if the status stays unsigned, the submission hasn’t gone through yet.

If the error persists after two or three retry attempts:

  1. Try signing in a different browser or on a different network (for example, switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data) to rule out a local connection issue.
  2. If the problem continues, go to HelpContact support and include:
    • Your organization name
    • The approximate date and time of the failed attempt
    • The browser and operating system you’re using

MapleGather support can confirm the DPA status on your account and assist with completing the signature.
