Claim your migrated account
This guide walks you through setting up your account after your organization moved to MapleGather. You’ll receive a claim link by email — it takes about 60 seconds to get through the steps.
Who can do this: Members whose organization has recently migrated to MapleGather. You must have received the migration email with a claim link.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Find the migration email from your organization. It contains a claim link — a personal link that sets up your account.
- Your claim link is valid for 30 days from when it was sent.
- You don’t need to create a new account. Your membership information was imported by your organization.
- In your migration email, select the claim link. Your browser opens and MapleGather checks your link.
- On the Confirm profile step, review your name, email, membership level, and the year you joined. If everything looks right, select Looks good — continue.
- If anything is wrong, select Something’s wrong — I’ll fix it to edit your details, then select Save and continue.
- On the Set password step, type a new password in the Password field. The form shows your organization’s password requirement and a strength indicator as you type.
- Type the same password in the Confirm password field.
- Select Set password.
- Started on your phone and want to finish on a computer? A Continue on desktop QR code appears during the flow — scan it with your phone’s camera to continue on your computer without needing another email link.
- If your organization asks you to review your payment method, confirm or update your card and select Save payment method. You can select Skip for now if you prefer to do this later.
- On the final screen, select Show me around to take a quick tour, or Go straight to my dashboard to go directly to your portal.
Verify
Section titled “Verify”You’ll know it worked when you see the “You’re in!” confirmation screen and then land on your organization’s member portal.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”- “This link has expired” — Claim links are valid for 30 days. Enter your email address in the form and select Send me a new link to receive a fresh link straight away. You don’t need to contact your organization first.
- “Already claimed — log in normally” — Your account is already set up. Go to your organization’s sign-in page and use Send sign-in link to sign in.
- Something went wrong on one of the steps — Your progress is saved up to the step you completed. Re-open the original claim link from your email and continue from where you left off.
