Browse and search the member directory

This guide shows you how to find fellow members by browsing the directory, searching by name or keyword, and using filters to narrow your results.

Who can do this: Any active member whose organization has a directory set up.

  • You need to be signed in to the member portal.
  • Your organization’s admin must have set up at least one directory instance. If you don’t see Directory in your navigation, check with your admin.
  1. Tap or click Directory in the bottom navigation (mobile) or in the sidebar (tablet or desktop). The directory loads and shows member cards.
  2. Scroll through the cards. Each card shows the member’s name and the fields your admin has chosen to display, such as neighborhood or profession.
  3. Select any card to open that member’s full profile.
  1. Select the Search members… bar at the top of the directory.
  2. Type a name, profession, neighborhood, or any other keyword. Results update as you type.
  3. To clear your search, select the in the search bar, or select Clear search in the results area.

If your admin has set up filters, you’ll see them as a panel on the left (desktop) or as a Filters button (mobile).

  1. Desktop: Select a value in the facet panel on the left side. For example, under Profession, select Gardener. Results narrow immediately.
  2. Mobile: Select Filters, choose your filter values in the panel that opens, then select Apply filters. Active filters appear as chips below the search bar.
  3. To remove a single filter, select the on the filter chip. To remove all filters, select Clear all.
  4. You can combine a keyword search with one or more filters at the same time.
  1. On desktop, select the Sort by dropdown at the top-right of the results.
  2. On mobile, open Filters and find the sort option inside.
  3. Choose your preferred sort order.

Select Load more at the bottom of the list to see the next page of members.

You’ll know your search is working when the result count (for example, “12 members”) updates in the page header and the cards reflect your filters or keyword. Your search state is saved in the URL — you can bookmark or share the page and return to the same filtered view.

  • “Could not load the directory” — your connection may have dropped. Select Try again to reload.
  • “No members match your search” — try removing a filter or using a shorter keyword. Select Clear search to start over.
  • The Directory tab is missing — your membership level may not have access to this directory. Contact your admin.
  • A filter chip shows a warning — one of your filters is no longer valid (the admin may have removed that option). Select Clear invalid filter and reapply your other filters.
