Domains and SSL status reference

This page lists the SSL states you may see on the Domains & SSL page (Website › Domains & SSL) and what each one means.

Your organization gets a system subdomain automatically — for example, riverside.maplegather.org. The SSL certificate for this address is provisioned and renewed by MapleGather with no action needed from you. The Your site address card shows one of these states:

State Badge What it means
Secured Green “Secured · auto-renews” The certificate is active. HTTPS is on, and the certificate renews itself automatically 30 days before it expires. No admin action needed.
Provisioning “Securing your site” The certificate is being issued — this is normal in the first 30 minutes after your organization was created. No admin action needed.
Renewal failure Error notice Auto-renewal failed (this is rare). MapleGather’s team has been alerted and has sent a notice to your admin-notifications mailbox. No admin action button is shown — the team handles the fix.

The Valid through {date} row shows the certificate’s current expiry date. The Last renewed {date} row shows when the certificate was most recently renewed. Both update automatically after each renewal.

Row What it means
Custom domain — Coming with the website builder Custom domain support (for example, riversidegarden.org) arrives with the website builder. No action is available at this time.

Custom domains are not a paid upgrade — they arrive with the website builder as part of your MapleGather subscription. No tier gating applies.
