Export the attendee list
This guide shows you how to export attendee data from an event, including custom question responses, session selections, and add-ons.
Who can do this: Organization admins with events:export-attendees permission.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Apply filters before exporting to narrow the export to a specific group (for example, only registered attendees or a specific ticket type).
- Exports of 1,000 rows or fewer download immediately. Larger exports are queued and sent to you by email.
- If your export includes columns marked Sensitive, the data in those columns requires the
events:export-sensitive-fieldspermission. Without it, the column header and data are included in the file with a restricted label — they are not silently removed.
- Open the event and select the Attendees tab.
- Apply any filters you want (status, ticket type, check-in state, or name search) to narrow the export.
- Select Export in the page header.
- Choose a Format: CSV, Excel, or PDF.
- In the Columns section, all columns are selected by default. Deselect any columns you do not need. Drag the handle next to each column to reorder them.
- Select Download CSV (or the format you chose).
For exports over 1,000 rows, the button label changes to Queue export — {N} rows and you’ll receive an email when the file is ready.
Sensitive columns
Section titled “Sensitive columns”Columns that contain sensitive member information (such as medical conditions) are marked with a Sensitive label and lock icon. You can include them in the export, but data in those columns is visible only to admins with the events:export-sensitive-fields permission. If you do not have this permission:
- The column header appears with a
[RESTRICTED]suffix. - Every row in that column shows “[Sensitive — export permission required]”.
To request the sensitive-fields export permission, contact your organization owner.
Verify
Section titled “Verify”For immediate downloads (1,000 rows or fewer), the file downloads automatically and a “Export downloaded” confirmation appears. For queued exports, the dialog confirms the export is queued and tells you to check your email for the download link.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”- Export button is not visible — your account does not have the
events:export-attendeespermission. Contact your organization owner. - Download button is disabled — no attendees match your current filter. Clear the filter or adjust your search.
- Sensitive columns show restricted values — your account does not have the
events:export-sensitive-fieldspermission. Contact your organization owner.
