Get your organization set up as a new admin

By the end of this guide, you’ll have completed the setup tour, added a backup admin with the right role, and confirmed your trial or subscription status. It takes about 15 minutes.

  • An active admin account for your organization (you received an invitation email and set your password to create this).

The setup tour walks you through the five things that make your organization ready for members. If the tour isn’t already open, you can reopen it from the help menu at any time.

  1. In the tour panel, select Get started if you haven’t begun yet, or pick up where you left off.
  2. Work through the five tour steps in order:
    • Theme (Admin & Security → Theme) — upload your logo and set your organization’s colors.
    • Levels (Memberships → Levels) — create at least one membership level so members can join.
    • First event (Events → New) — create a draft event (you can publish it later). See Set up your first event end to end for the full walkthrough.
    • Invite members (Members → Invite) — send your first member invitation or import a list.
    • Publish (Website → Publish) — review your public-facing page and publish when ready.
  3. Select Finish on the last step to mark the tour complete.

You should now see the tour panel marked as complete, and the main dashboard showing your organization summary.

Having a second Org Owner prevents your organization from being locked out if you lose access to your account. This step takes about two minutes.

  1. Go to Admin & Security in the left navigation.
  2. Select Admins.
  3. Select Invite admin.
  4. Enter the backup admin’s email address and name.
  5. Under Role, select Org Owner (or a different role if you want more limited access for this person — see How roles and permissions work if you’re not sure).
  6. Select Send invitation.

You should now see the invitee listed on the Pending invitations tab with an invitation sent status. They’ll receive an email with a magic link to set up their account.

Step 3 — Confirm your subscription or trial status

Section titled “Step 3 — Confirm your subscription or trial status”

Check where you stand with your subscription so there are no surprises after your trial ends.

  1. Go to Admin & SecuritySubscription.
  2. Review the status shown at the top of the page:
    • Trial — the page shows how many days remain in your free trial and a projected monthly cost based on your current contact count. Select Subscribe when you’re ready to move to a paid subscription.
    • Active — your subscription is in good standing. Note your billing date and contact count for reference.
    • Past due — a recent charge failed. Select Update payment method and enter current card details to resolve it. See Subscription shows ‘Last charge failed’ warning for help.

You should now see your subscription status clearly and know your next billing date or trial end date.

You now have a complete setup tour, a backup admin with the right role, and a confirmed subscription or trial status. Next, you might want to:
