Your claim link expired or was already used
If you opened the claim link from your organization’s welcome email and saw an error message, this page explains what happened and how to fix it.
How to fix it
Section titled “How to fix it”“Link expired”
Section titled ““Link expired””Claim links are valid for 30 days from when your organization sent the broadcast. If yours has expired:
- On the “Link expired” screen, enter your email address in the field shown.
- Select Send a new link.
- Check your inbox — a new claim email arrives within a few minutes.
- Open the new link and complete your account setup.
You don’t need to contact your admin to get a new link. The process is self-service.
If you don’t receive a new link: Check your spam or junk folder. The email comes from your organization’s sending address, not from a generic MapleGather address. If it still hasn’t arrived after 10 minutes, try the request again using a different email address you might have used when you were a member of the organization.
“Already claimed”
Section titled ““Already claimed””You’ve already set up your account. Select the sign-in link on the page to log in normally with your email address and the password you set during the claim flow.
If you don’t remember the password you set, select Forgot password? on the sign-in page to reset it.
If you’re sure you haven’t claimed yet — It’s possible your organization sent the broadcast more than once, and you used the link from an earlier email. Try signing in. If you can sign in, your account is set up. If you can’t, contact your admin and they can reach support on your behalf.
“Invalid link”
Section titled ““Invalid link””The link may have been modified or truncated by your email client. Try these steps:
- Open your original welcome email.
- Instead of selecting the link, copy and paste the full URL into your browser’s address bar.
- If the link still shows “invalid,” ask your admin to re-send the claim email. Your organization’s admin can see your status in the transition dashboard.
The link opened but the page is blank or won’t load
Section titled “The link opened but the page is blank or won’t load”- Try a different browser.
- Try disabling browser extensions, especially privacy or ad-blocking tools, and reload the page.
- If on mobile, try opening the link on a desktop browser instead.
If that didn’t work
Section titled “If that didn’t work”Contact your organization’s admin. They can see your claim status in the transition dashboard and ask MapleGather support to reset your link if needed. Include the email address you used when you were a member of the organization.
