Can't submit the application form
You’re filling in the membership application and the Submit application button isn’t responding, or the form shows an error when you try to submit.
What’s happening
Section titled “What’s happening”The most common reasons the form won’t submit:
- A required field is empty or filled in incorrectly
- You haven’t accepted the organization’s terms yet (if required)
- A payment card field has an error
How to fix it
Section titled “How to fix it”- Scroll up to the top of the form. The form shows an inline error summary listing every problem that needs to be fixed.
- Work through each error in the summary. Required fields show a red label; hover over or tap the field to see the specific message.
- If the organization requires terms acceptance, find the terms checkbox near the bottom of Step 1 and check it before continuing.
- On Step 2 (payment), check that you’ve entered your card number without spaces, selected the correct expiry month and year, and typed the security code (CVV/CVC).
- Select Submit application to retry, or Pay {amount} on the payment page to retry the payment.
If that didn’t work
Section titled “If that didn’t work”- The page reloaded but nothing happened — your browser may have blocked the form submission. Try a different browser or disable browser extensions temporarily.
- “Level is no longer available” — the organization may have closed the level between when you opened the form and when you submitted. Return to the sign-up page to see currently available levels.
- “Email address already has an account” — the email you entered is already linked to a member record for this organization. Sign in to the member portal instead of applying as a new member.
- The form keeps timing out — try on a different network connection (for example, mobile data instead of wi-fi). If the problem continues, contact the organization and ask if they can create your membership manually.
