Signed out unexpectedly or can't access a page
You were using MapleGather and suddenly ended up at the sign-in screen, or you followed a link and landed somewhere unexpected. This is almost always a session timeout or a redirect that sent you to your correct home page.
What’s happening
Section titled “What’s happening”MapleGather signs you out after a period of inactivity. When that happens, the next page you try to open redirects you to the sign-in screen with the message: “You’ve been signed out after inactivity. Sign in again to continue.”
Your progress on any form or task you were working on may not have been saved, depending on what you were doing.
How to fix it
Section titled “How to fix it”- On the sign-in screen, check whether you see “You’ve been signed out after inactivity. Sign in again to continue.” If you do, your session simply timed out.
- Type your email address in the Email address field and select Send sign-in link.
- Click the new sign-in link in your email.
- MapleGather signs you in and takes you back to the page you were trying to visit.
Other scenarios
Section titled “Other scenarios”You followed a link from an email and landed on the wrong page
Section titled “You followed a link from an email and landed on the wrong page”Sign-in links from emails (renewal reminders, payment receipts, and similar emails) take you to a specific page after signing in. If you’re already signed in and follow one of these links, you’ll go straight to the page without seeing the sign-in screen.
If you were taken to your portal home instead of the page you expected, the link may have been for a different section. Check the email again for the correct link.
You’re a member but followed an admin link (or vice versa)
Section titled “You’re a member but followed an admin link (or vice versa)”MapleGather sends you to the right home page for your role. If you followed a link for an admin page but your account is a member account, you’ll land on the member portal (/portal) instead. This is expected — it’s not a sign-in problem.
You followed a link that pointed to an external website
Section titled “You followed a link that pointed to an external website”MapleGather only follows links that stay within your organization’s portal. If a link led to a different website, MapleGather discards it and takes you to your home page for your own security.
If that didn’t work
Section titled “If that didn’t work”- Sign-in link isn’t arriving — See Sign-in link not arriving.
- You see a “sign-in link expired” message — See Sign-in link expired or already used.
- You can’t access a page even after signing in — Contact your organization’s admin. Some pages require specific permissions or a current membership.
