Cancel your event registration
This guide shows you how to cancel your registration for an event from your registrations list.
Who can do this: Active members.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Self-cancellation is available only when the event organizer has enabled it and the cancellation window is still open.
- If you paid for a ticket, the refund policy depends on the event’s cancellation rules. The dialog shows the specific refund information before you confirm.
- After cancelling, you can re-register for the same event as long as registration is still open.
- In the member portal, go to Events and select the My registrations tab.
- Find the event you want to cancel.
- Select Cancel on the registration row.
- In the dialog, read the refund information shown (if any).
- Select a reason from the Why are you cancelling? list.
- Select Confirm cancellation.
Verify
Section titled “Verify”The registration status changes to Cancelled in your list. If a refund applies, it goes to your original payment card. Refunds may take 5–10 business days to appear depending on your bank.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”- No Cancel button is visible — the event organizer has disabled self-cancellation for this event, the cancellation window has closed, or you have already checked in. Select Contact organizer for help.
- “The cancellation window for this event has closed” — this appears if the window closed between when you opened the dialog and when you confirmed. Contact the organizer for help.
- You have already been checked in — cancellation is not available after check-in. Contact the organizer if you need to cancel.
