Board member can't see member details

You’re in the Board portal and you selected a metric card or a row in the financial summary, expecting to see which members are involved — but you only see aggregate counts and no names.

This is by design. The Board portal shows aggregate totals only — counts, revenue figures, and trend data — without any path to individual member names, email addresses, or personal payment details.

When you select a card (for example, Overdue renewals), an aggregate panel opens: “27 overdue renewals — count only, no names.” This is the Board portal’s intended behavior, not an error or a missing permission.

See How the board view protects member privacy for a full explanation of why the board view works this way.

  1. Confirm this is the Board portal (the navigation shows Dashboard / Reports / Compliance / Help) and not the admin view. The Board portal always shows totals only — this is correct behavior, not an error.
  2. If you need to see individual member records, ask your organization’s admin or treasurer to pull the report and share it with you.
  3. If you also hold an admin role, select View as admin in the page header to switch to /admin/dashboard or /admin/reports, where per-member drill is available. The View as admin button only appears if your account has an admin role in addition to your board role.

If the Board portal isn’t loading at all (not just the member-level detail), contact your admin. Your account may not have a Board Member role assigned, or there may be a setup issue.
