Can't cancel event registration
There is no Cancel button on the registration, or the cancellation was blocked.
What’s happening
Section titled “What’s happening”One or more of the following may apply:
- Self-cancellation is not allowed for this event. The event organizer has disabled the self-cancel option.
- The cancellation window has closed. The organizer set a deadline for cancellations and it has passed.
- You have already been checked in. Once you are marked as attended at the event, self-cancellation is not available.
- The event has already been cancelled by the organizer. There is nothing to cancel on your end.
How to fix it
Section titled “How to fix it”- If you do not see a Cancel button, check the row for a message explaining why. Common messages:
- “Contact organizer to cancel” — the organizer has disabled self-cancel. Use the contact link to reach them.
- “Cancellation window closed — contact the organizer for help” — the deadline has passed. Contact the organizer.
- “You’ve already checked in to this event” — cancellation is not available after check-in.
- Contact the event organizer directly using the Contact organizer link in the row. They may be able to cancel the registration for you.
If that didn’t work
Section titled “If that didn’t work”- “The cancellation window for this event has closed” appeared after you opened the dialog — the window closed between when you opened the dialog and when you confirmed. Contact the organizer directly.
- You do not know the organizer’s contact information — check the event page for contact details, or contact your organization’s admin team.
