View a member's directory profile
This guide shows you how to open another member’s profile in the directory to see their details.
Who can do this: Any active member with access to the directory.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- You need to be signed in to the member portal.
- Start from the directory list page. If you need help getting there, see Browse and search the member directory.
- Go to Directory in the navigation.
- Find the member you want to learn about — use search or filters if needed.
- Select the member’s card anywhere on its surface. The member’s profile page opens.
- Read the fields shown on the profile. What you see depends on what the member has chosen to share:
- Public fields are visible to all members.
- Members only fields are visible to signed-in members.
- Hidden fields are not shown to anyone.
- If you see “Sign in or join to see this” on any field, that field is set to Members only and you’re viewing as a guest — sign in to see it.
- To return to the directory, select ← Back to directory at the top of the page or (on mobile) at the bottom. Your previous search and filter state will be restored.
Verify
Section titled “Verify”You’ll know it worked when the member’s name appears as the page heading and their shared fields are listed below. Selecting ← Back to directory returns you to the directory list at the same point you left off.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”- “Member not in directory” — the member may have opted out of the directory or their membership may no longer be active. Their profile is not available when they’re not in the directory.
- You’re taken back to the start of the directory instead of your filtered results — try using your browser’s back button rather than navigating away. If the issue repeats, contact support.
