Subscription shows 'Last charge failed' warning
The subscription page shows a warning that says “Last charge failed — update your payment method to avoid service interruption.”
What’s happening
Section titled “What’s happening”MapleGather was unable to charge the payment method on file. This usually happens when a card has expired, reached its limit, or was replaced with a new card number. Your account has entered a grace period while you update your payment details.
During the grace period, all features remain fully active — members can sign in, events run normally, and nothing is restricted. This warning is a heads-up, not a service interruption.
How to fix it
Section titled “How to fix it”- Go to Admin & Security → Subscription.
- Select Update payment method.
- Enter your new card details and save.
- MapleGather retries the outstanding charge automatically. Once the charge succeeds, the warning clears and your subscription returns to active status.
You don’t need to manually trigger the retry — it happens in the background after you save the new payment method.
If that didn’t work
Section titled “If that didn’t work”- If you update the payment method but the warning remains after a few minutes, try refreshing the page.
- If the charge continues to fail after updating, your bank may be blocking the charge. Contact your bank to confirm the transaction is permitted, then try again.
- If you need help resolving a billing issue, go to Help → Contact support with your organization name and the last four digits of the card you’re trying to use.
