Migration broadcast states reference
This page describes the states of a post-migration broadcast and the states of the individual claim links sent to each member.
Broadcast states
Section titled “Broadcast states”You see the broadcast state in the transition dashboard and in the broadcast configurator header.
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
queued |
The broadcast was created and accepted. No emails have been dispatched yet. You can still cancel cleanly — no members have been contacted. |
sending |
Emails are being dispatched to members. Some members may have already received their email. Cancelling at this point stops further sends, but emails already sent cannot be recalled. |
sent |
All emails were dispatched to all recipients. Member claim-link usage and funnel counts accumulate here. |
partial |
The dispatch was interrupted before all recipients received their email. This is a terminal state. |
failed |
A backend error prevented the broadcast from completing. Contact support. |
cancelled |
You cancelled the broadcast before or during dispatch. If cancelled while sending, some members may have already received their email. The transition dashboard reconciles the final delivered count. |
Claim magic-link token states
Section titled “Claim magic-link token states”Each member who receives the broadcast gets a personal claim link. The link’s validity state determines what a member sees when they open it.
| State | What it means | What the member sees |
|---|---|---|
active |
The link was issued, hasn’t been used, and is within the 30-day validity period. | The claim flow starts normally. |
used |
The member has already used the link to set up their account. | “Already claimed — log in normally.” No error is shown. |
expired |
The 30-day validity period has passed without the member using the link. | “Link expired — enter your email to get a new one.” The member can request a fresh link without contacting an admin. |
Claim progress states (admin view)
Section titled “Claim progress states (admin view)”The transition dashboard’s per-member table shows a different set of states that reflect each member’s progress through the claim flow — not just the link’s validity. These are the values an admin sees on the dashboard:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
unclaimed |
The member has not yet opened the claim link. |
in progress |
The member opened the link and started the claim flow but has not finished. |
claimed |
The member completed the claim flow and their account is fully set up. |
