Directory permissions reference

This page lists the directory-area permissions in MapleGather, what each one allows, and which flows it controls.

What members can do without an admin permission

Section titled “What members can do without an admin permission”

Signed-in members automatically have access to their own directory experience:

  • They can browse any directory their membership level or tag grants access to.
  • They can manage their own directory privacy settings (show/hide listing, per-field visibility, messaging opt-out) at Preferences → Directory privacy.
  • They cannot access other members’ privacy settings or any admin directory surfaces.
