Renew your membership
This guide shows you how to renew your membership manually when auto-renew is turned off or when you’ve received a renewal reminder asking you to pay.
Who can do this: Any active member. If your membership has lapsed, go to your organization’s join page to start fresh.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- If auto-renew is on, you don’t need to do anything — your card is charged automatically on the renewal date. This guide is for members with auto-renew off.
- Have your payment card ready.
- Sign in to the member portal.
- Select My membership in the navigation.
- Find the auto-renew row. It shows a warning that auto-renew is off. Select Renew now. (This button only appears when auto-renew is off. You can also use the “Renew now” link in your renewal reminder email.)
- Check the renewal summary. It shows your level name, price, and the new expiry date.
- To pay with a different card, select Use a different card and enter the new details.
- Select Pay {amount}. The amount shown is the total you’ll be charged.
- If your bank asks for extra verification, complete the step shown on screen. If it fails, enter your card details again.
Verify
Section titled “Verify”You’ll know it worked when “Membership renewed through {date}” appears. The My membership page shows the new expiry date, and a receipt goes to your email.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”- “Card declined” — try a different card or contact your bank. You can retry right away.
- “You’re all set” — your membership is already current. No payment needed.
- The page says your membership has lapsed — renewal is not available once the grace period ends. Go to your organization’s sign-up page to rejoin.
