Zero results after applying filters in the directory
You’ve applied one or more filters in the directory and the results area shows “No members match these filters.”
What’s happening
Section titled “What’s happening”The directory shows no results when the combination of active filters has no members at their intersection. For example, filtering for “Profession: Gardener” and “Neighborhood: Westside” at the same time returns only members who are both a Gardener and in Westside — if nobody has both, the result is empty.
The empty result doesn’t mean the directory is broken. It means the intersection of your chosen filter values is genuinely empty at this moment.
How to fix it
Section titled “How to fix it”- Look at the filter panel or the filter chips above the results.
- Notice which facet values show (0) next to them — these are values that have no members at the current intersection.
- Remove filters one at a time by selecting the ✕ on each filter chip, starting with the most specific filter. After removing a filter, check whether results appear.
- Select Clear all to remove all filters and start fresh.
- Try a different combination of filters. For example, if “Profession: Gardener + Neighborhood: Westside” is empty, try “Profession: Gardener” alone first to see how many gardeners exist.
If that didn’t work
Section titled “If that didn’t work”If the directory seems empty when you expect to see members even without any filters, see Member not appearing in directory — the issue may be related to your directory’s visibility settings rather than the filter combination.
