Manage your MapleGather subscription
This guide covers subscribing after your trial, viewing your usage and billing details, setting a contact-count alert, and cancelling your subscription.
Who can do this: Org owners can subscribe, cancel, and manage the subscription. Finance managers can view usage and billing details.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- To subscribe, you need a credit or debit card. Card details are entered directly into Stripe’s secure form — they never pass through MapleGather’s servers.
- All features are available on every MapleGather plan. Pricing is based on your contact count and SMS usage only.
Subscribe (move from trial to paid)
Section titled “Subscribe (move from trial to paid)”To move from your free trial to a paid subscription — including applying a promo code and what to do if your card is declined — see Convert your trial to a paid subscription.
View usage and billing details
Section titled “View usage and billing details”- Go to Admin & Security in the left navigation, then select Subscription.
- The dashboard shows:
- Your current contact count
- The included-contacts threshold for your plan
- The per-contact rate for contacts above the threshold
- SMS usage for the current billing period
- Your next billing date
- Your projected next bill
- If your contact count is above the included threshold, an informational notice shows the metered amount. All features remain fully available — there is no service restriction based on contact count.
Set a contact-count alert
Section titled “Set a contact-count alert”An alert lets MapleGather notify you when your contact count reaches a number you choose. This is advisory only — it does not block new member signups or restrict any feature.
- On the Subscription page, click Set contact alert.
- Enter the contact count at which you want to be notified.
- Click Set alert.
Cancel your subscription
Section titled “Cancel your subscription”- On the Subscription page, click Cancel subscription.
- In the dialog, select a cancellation reason (required):
- Too expensive
- Missing features
- Found alternative
- Org shutting down
- Other
- Click Cancel subscription to confirm.
- Read the confirmation: “Subscription cancelled — access continues until [date]; your data is retained for 30 days after that date.” Your organization keeps full access until the end of the current billing period.
Re-subscribe within 30 days of cancellation
Section titled “Re-subscribe within 30 days of cancellation”- Go to Admin & Security → Subscription.
- Click Re-subscribe and complete the payment form.
- Your data and settings are restored exactly as you left them.
Verify
Section titled “Verify”- After subscribing: The subscription dashboard shows your status as active and displays your next billing date.
- After cancelling: The confirmation message shows the date your access ends.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”- Trial expired and the app is in read-only mode — Go to Admin & Security → Subscription and click Subscribe now to restore full access immediately.
